I photographed Hawthorne Gospel Church’s 100th Anniversary Worship Night, which featured Broadway performer Laurie Gayle Stephenson and Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Wendy White. The evening brought together music, worship, and reflection as the church celebrated a century of ministry and community.

My focus was on capturing the atmosphere of the night — the power of the performances, the response of the congregation, and the emotion that carried through each song. The images reflect a night that honored both the church’s history and the enduring impact of faith expressed through music.
