Hey, my name is David! My story with creative media begins in 2017. My assistant principal knew I liked playing around with photos and videos. He gave me a camera and asked me to film a short clip for my school. At that moment, I fell in love with creative media – and I’ve never looked back. For the past several years, I’ve been the Director of Marketing & Communication at Bergen County Christian Academy in Hackensack, NJ – where during my tenure the school has seen a growth in enrollment by over 80% and increased donations by nearly $50,000.00. Most recently, I’ve also been an Adjunct Professor at Ramapo College of New Jersey, teaching Media Literacy and Public Speaking.
I am currently working on my PhD in Strategic Media. Prior to that, I completed my master’s degree at New York University in the Media, Culture, and Communication Department. At NYU, I closely worked with renowned scholars such as Professors Radha S. Hegde, Mario Khreiche, Angela Xiao Wu, and Helga Tawil-Souri. It has been a privilege to learn from brilliant scholars in the field.
My passion is to partner with nonprofits to help them strategically communicate their mission and goals to their constituents.
In my free time, you’ll probably see me either reading a good thriller book, watching a movie (probably a Marvel/DC film), photographing in NYC, or working on a “for fun” creative project. You’ll usually find me at local coffee shops, but truth be told, I don’t drink coffee – so, you’ll actually see me sipping on tea.
